Itinerary
For a sailing trip around the northern part of Sardinia, we recommend starting your journey from Portisco due to its strategic location for exploring the surrounding islands and the stunning Sardinian coastline. Alternatively, there are other marinas nearby, such as Porto Rotondo and Olbia, both offering easy access to beautiful destinations.
As you set sail for the La Maddalena Archipelago, take the opportunity to explore some of its stunning islands. Budelli is a must-see, where you can find the distinctive pink sands of Spiaggia Rosa, created by a mix of white sand and microscopic fragments of coralline algae. Caprera is also worth a visit, especially Cala Coticcio, famous for its bright turquoise waters, along with Spargi, known for its untouched beaches.
For the night, you can anchor near La Maddalena town, where the narrow streets and local trattorias offer a taste of island life. From there, consider continuing toward Capo Testa, a breathtaking stretch of coastline with windswept granite formations, and make a stop at Santa Teresa Gallura, a quaint town with spectacular views over the Strait of Bonifacio.
Crossing to Bonifacio, France, is a memorable highlight, with the town sitting on limestone cliffs that overlook a sheltered harbour. The mediaeval citadel and narrow alleys invite exploration, while the harbour’s lively atmosphere and restaurants offer a perfect blend of French and Italian flavours.
Not far from Bonifacio lies the Lavezzi Islands, a protected marine paradise ideal for snorkelling and swimming among granite boulders and crystal-clear waters.
On the return journey, you can meander through the La Maddalena Archipelago again or sail straight back to your marina base, taking in the beautiful views of the Sardinian coastline along the way.

I started my sailing adventure with inland cruises, exploring Masuria, which developed into a great passion for water, wind and the sailing lifestyle. The beginning of sea expeditions is primarily the Baltic Sea and the North Sea. It was the northern seas of Europe that shaped me as a sailor and as a person.
The last few years have been marked by warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea, Croatia has become a second home and sailing is a way of life.
After sailing over 40,000 nautical miles, I am very happy to pass on my knowledge and spread my passion for sailing.
